From Here
I trademarked “From Here – Map your aspirations™” in 2010. In 2012 I registered the business name to trade and never looked back. In 2015 registered the celebrant services business “From Here – Declaration Celebration Registration”, continuing the theme of answering questions about where that first step will take them.
Why “From Here”?
I’ve worked with a lot of talented people during my career, and each one of them has something personal to bring to a dream role. I became a frequent ‘go to person’ for friends and colleagues, helping them plan the milestones to their next goal. Now I provide tailored service for my clients gained from years of professional experience in private and public sector environments, even some military service – so the expectation that I can relate to your journey is probably something you should rely on.
In 2010 I decided to take my own advice and plan to achieve some of my dreams to work with others who have career ideals of their own, be they starting out or in need of an edge in a current process. I am pleased to be providing quality, tailored career advice and assistance, ethically.
Why did I choose From Here? Well for the best part of 20 years people have been coming to me and asking “what should I do from here” or “ how do I get to there from here”, or “I feel like I’ll never make it from here in my career without a plan”. Hence the trademark name – it was a given really!
Then came Marriage Celebrancy
After starting “From Here-Map your aspirations” I was asked if I could speak at weddings and engagements and help people with readings at all sorts of events, so with my background in training and public speaking Marriage Celebrant work seemed a natural move.
Some people have said to me that being a mentor and helping people with career services and working as an authorised marriage and civil celebrant make an unusual choice of professions. Really I see these roles as an opportunity for living a full life through my work.
In a life there are many important elements, two of those elements are growing as an individual through our work, creativity and spirituality and the second growing from being part of a rewarding and mutually respectful relationship with a beloved partner.
One of the most amazing things in the world is to be able to support others and watch them grow and attain their dreams, knowing the future will provide more goals, and that these are large and smaller milestone on a longer path.
About Michelle
I have a solid educational grounding, and have achieved tertiary degrees and certificate level qualifications. These include an Undergraduate degree with a double major in English and Management, and Postgraduate qualifications in Business Management incorporating, Human Resource Management and a second Postgraduate degree in Project Management.
I also have a Diploma in Government, Certificate IV in Government Procurement, another in Training and Assessment and most recently gained my Certificate IV in Marriage Celebrancy.
